Voters in Lichfield and Burntwood have been urged to hold Theresa May and the Conservatives to account on Brexit.
The country goes to the polls on June 8 with the UK’s decision to leave the European Union likely to remain high on the political agenda.
But Labour’s General Election candidate for the Lichfield constituency, Chris Worsey, insists voters need to ensure the Tories are not given free reign on the issue.
“On Brexit we just can’t give Theresa May a blank cheque to do exactly what she wants,” Mr Worsey said. “Voting to leave the EU without knowing the actual deal is, is like buying a house without ever looking around it. You would never do it.
“What makes sense is to see what the house is actually like, before we sign the papers on the deal. That is just common sense.
“Every vote against the Tories will help hold them account.”
