Lichfield and Burntwood parents receive primary school place results

Parents across Lichfield and Burntwood have been finding out if their children have been allocated their chosen primary school for next year.

Nine out of 10 parents across Staffordshire have been offered their first choice primary school, with 97 per cent given one of their top three selections.

Eric Robinson from Staffordshire County Council said: “Last year we were awarded nearly £13million towards primary school places in the county, in recognition of rising birth rates.

“We have already added capacity in Fradley and Lichfield by making better use of existing accommodation or through building new schools, and this will continue for the next few years.”

Across the county, 8,897 places were allocated, with 8,167 getting their first choice.
