Lichfield Cathedral’s candlelit tours are returning for 2010.
Experts will guide visitors around the historic building and give them the opportunity to experience the Cathedral as medieval people saw it – by candlelight.
Canon Pete Wilcox, Chancellor of Lichfield Cathedral, said:
“For hundreds of years, at night time and in winter months, people were only able to see our extraordinary Cathedral by candlelight. A tour of this holy place is an inspiring experience under any circumstances. The atmosphere of a candlelit tour is never to be forgotten.”

Each tour begins at 7.30pm and visitors are asked to meet in the Bookshop, No. 9 The Close from 7pm. Tickets cost £10 and include refreshments after the tour, served in the Cathedral Visitors Centre.
