Lichfield City FC has been given the go-ahead to increase the amount of time its floodlights can be used.

The Midland Football League Division One side had applied for permission to use the lights for training as well as matches.
A statement supporting the proposal said: “Varying the hours of use of the floodlights at Lichfield City Football Club will provide the club with greater flexibility over the use of its existing facility and enable the existing sporting facility to be used by the wider community.
“In so doing, the wider use of floodlights at the club will enable an existing sporting facility to be better used and will greatly increase participation in sport and physical activity. ”
Full details of the floodlighting proposals and the decision notice can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
