Community-based projects in Lichfield could get a cash boost thanks to a city drama company.

Shakespeare in the Park is offering local groups or organisations a share in the profits from their last production, The Taming of the Shrew.

A spokesman said:

“We are looking to make donations to local groups who have project-based activities which will enrich their local community. Last year approximately £3,000 was donated to local groups at the matinee performance of Taming of the Shrew. It is hoped that a similar sum will be granted this year.”

“For more information visit the website at www.sitp.org.uk.”

Applications, with full details of the project, should be emailed as soon as possible to the SITP Chairman Oliver Rowe at admin@sitp.org.uk.
