LICHFIELD enjoyed plenty of Christmas cheer as they got the better of basement side Belper.
Things got off to a perfect start as they took a three-goal lead inside six minutes.
Matt Cooper got things underway with a back post finish after a run along the baseline by Josh Smith.
The pair reversed their roles as creator and scorer for the second, before Sam Catell added a third with a clean first time reverse.
Lichfield added number four when Adey Gilbert rocketed a penalty corner into the the net.
There was even more success before half time when Ben Walton was in the right place at the right time to capitalise on a mistake by the Belper keeper.
Mitch Smith made a return to the line-up in the second half as Lichfield looked to push home their advantage.
But the only blot on the copybook came when Belper bagged a consolation.
But Lichfield continued to push for goals and they duly arrived as Cooper and Walton netted to take the city side into the Christmas break with a big win.
