A group of Lichfield students have been busy baking to raise money for cancer charities.
The Nether Stowe School pupils decided to hold a cake bake after the loss of two fellow students.
Staff and students at the school donated the ingredients which were used to bake a range of cakes and biscuits while other youngsters made cakes at home for the event.
Ben Burkinshaw said: “Two students from our school have died from cancer and we wanted to raise money to help to find a cure.
“We hope that the money we raise will go towards helping those with cancer and their families.”
Food Technology teacher Emma Ashby added: “We wanted to do something practical which would make a difference.
“Baking the cakes was thoroughly enjoyable, very hectic but worthwhile.”
