Students at a Lichfield school have been finding out more about a variety of different careers.

An event at Lichfield Cathedral School saw employers from a diverse range of organisations discussing a variety of industries with Year 9 and 10 pupils.

Industries such as accountancy, law, engineering, journalism, medicine, retail, higher education, academia, the heritage sector and the performing arts were at the careers convention offering advice to students and their parents.

A spokesperson for Lichfield Cathedral School said:

“The convention was designed to encourage students to think seriously about their personal aspirations and to broaden their knowledge of the careers open to them. At a time of considerable increases in the cost of higher education and training, it is perhaps more important than ever that students develop a clear idea of the career they wish to pursue and how they can best achieve their career goals.”

The event will be followed by another one on November 25 for students in Years 11 and 12.
