Lichfield Superbikes rider Gary Mason is hoping lady luck will shine on him as he heads for Silverstone for the penultimate race of the season.
A revised track layout will await the MSS Colchester Kawasaki man who has only been able to get to grips with the circuit at a recent track day.
But Mason – who has seen a series of technical problems hamper his progress this season – will be hoping to finally get a break when the race gets underway.
He said:
“My side of the garage need a break from someone. Seriously, I know that we have a good race pace once everything gels together and hopefully Silverstone is going to be that place.”
And it’s not just Mason who will be hoping to finally shrug off the bad luck that has plagued him this term – his team boss Nick Morgan is also keeping his fingers firmly crossed that a better showing from his riders last time out at Croft can be replicated at Silverstone.
Morgan explained:
“I think the riders have really turned a corner and the times from Croft were good. Gary just needs a bit of a break to get a couple of confidence inspiring rides under his belt.”
