A LOCAL MP has hosted a small business summit to help identify issues and opportunities.

Labour’s Sarah Edwards was joined by West Midlands Mayor Richard Parker for the No Community Left Behind event.

The MP for Tamworth constituency, which includes areas such as Whittington, Shenstone, Fazeley and Stonnall, said ideas from the session would help inform her work on the
Business and Trade Select Committee.

She said:

“This was a fantastic and important event, I am keen to ensure that we are feeding business voices into Government to create the right environment for businesses to thrive and promote the growth agenda.

“We have so many great SMEs in our areas and it’s great to hear from them and share their aspirations with the West Midlands Mayor and the Government.

“I am keen to showcase the potential that already exists to which we can build upon to support local growth”
