FAMILIES are being invited to celebrate Armed Forces Weekend at the National Memorial Arboretum.

The event takes place on 28th and 29th June and will feature free activities including climbing walls, archery, a free-drop airbag, an assault course, soft play and arts and crafts.

There will also be live music and spoken word from Talent in the Ranks – the arboretum’s creative development programme for aspiring singers, songwriters and poets from within the armed forces community

Neill Martin-Hoare, head of events at the National Memorial Arboretum, said:

“Our Armed Forces Weekend celebration will once again shine a spotlight on the outstanding contributions made by the armed forces community throughout the year.

“Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of free family-friendly activities and live performances throughout the weekend, including the talented artists currently participating in the Talent in the Ranks programme.”
