Plans have been drawn up for a new shelter at the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield.
The proposals would see an oak-framed building at the Allied Special Forces memorial on the Alrewas site.
As well as providing shelter for visitors to the site, the plans also reveal that the interior walls would be used to display material relating to the memorial.
A design statement submitted to Lichfield District Council’s planning chiefs states:
“The proposal seeks to provide a structure that enhances the Arboretum by providing a good quality structure that makes an area of the National Memorial Arboretum more accessible.”
