A COMMUNITY clean up event has been hailed as a success.
The event was supported by Lichfield Litter Legends, Bromford, Lichfield City Council and Lichfield District Council in north Lichfield.
It is the fourth time the event has taken place.
A spokesperson said:
“It was a great day – and thanks go to all of our volunteers who helped make it such a success.
“This is the fourth time we have held this event, but the first time we have had to order more skips on the day.
“The skip at Curburough was filled within 45 minutes of its arrival and the second one was overflowing well before the end of play.
“In the end, we had eight full skips for the day together with 21 bags of rubbish picked up by our tremendous volunteers.”
