The former Currys store in Lichfield is set to be given a new lease of life.
Planning chiefs gave the green light to proposals to change the use from retail to a restaurant or cafe.
The plans will see the Conduit Street unit converted with the introduction of a kitchen and seating area.
Threadneedle Investments – the company behind the proposals – said it hoped to provide a more suitable trading space for the city.
In a statement as part of the planning application, the company said: “We consider that this site offers an excellent opportunity to enhance the overall appearance of the conservation area.
“This will be achieved through the replacement of the existing facia with a traditional shop front constructed from high quality materials, appropriate to the setting.”
More details on the proposals can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
