The former Post Office in Lichfield city centre is set to be split into two shops.
Plans have been submitted to Lichfield District Council for the Bakers Lane premises which have been empty since the postal counters moved into the nearby WHSmith.
The application says the Three Spires Shopping Centre is “due to receive two new retailers”, with the application stating that one of the units created by the scheme is set to be occupied by a Card Factory retail outlet.
The plans would see the former Post Office divided with a second entrance created to one of the new shops.
A new window will also be put in place where the ATM used to be.
People can have their say on the proposals on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
