Land next to a Handsacre school could be used to build up to 200 new homes.
Developers have submitted outline proposals to Lichfield District Council for a site near Hayes Meadow Primary School.
The proposals would also see additional parking provided for the school as well as play areas and open spaces.
A consultation event in the area had raised concerns over the housing mix in the initial proposals.
In a statement supporting the planning application, the developers said: “As a direct result of this consultation ,the addition of 20 bungalows has now been added to the proposed housing mix.”
Full details of the plan can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s website, where residents can also have their say.
