Detectives are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery near Lichfield.
The offender entered the sub-Post Office in Main Street, Shenstone at around 1.15pm yesterday (March 23) and demanded cash. He pointed what was believed to be a handgun at the man, but did not fire the weapon.
The cashier did not hand any money over and the offender left empty-handed. No-one was injured.
The offender is described as white, of medium build, aged in his mid-20s and wore a grey hooded top and a brown scarf over his face.
Witnesses are asked to ring Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 4455, quoting incident number 324 of 23 March or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
