BURNTWOOD is taking part in a national celebration for locations bidding to become UK Town of Culture 2028.
A postcard created is being shared as part of a nationwide showcase organised by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
Towns have been invited to use it to highlight what makes their place special – with Burntwood's entry featuring community events, choirs, creative projects and its mining heritage.
Cllr Darren Ennis, leader of Burntwood Town Council, said:
"I’m really proud to see Burntwood taking part in this national celebration. Our postcard is bright, fun and full of character, just like our town.
"Burntwood is a big town with a big heart and we do some amazing things. We have fantastic community groups, free events that bring people together, creative projects growing across the town and a real sense of pride in where we live.
"What makes Burntwood special is that people here step up. They care about their town, they support each other, and they get involved. That is why I always say Burntwood is a town where community is culture.
"This postcard is a great way to show that off and celebrate everything that makes Burntwood such a special place."
The postcards are being shared across social media and will also form part of a national collection in Liverpool.
