PLANS to convert a property in Lichfield to become a residential care site for young people with behavioural and emotional needs have been rejected.
The development had been earmarked for the site at Lunns Croft.
But a decision notice from Lichfield District Council said the impact of the change on nearby residents had not been fully explored as part of the planning application.
It added:
"The applicant has failed to submit sufficient information to enable the local planning authority to fully assess the impact of the proposed residential institution on the amenities of neighbouring occupiers.
"In particular, no noise assessment, noise management plan or equivalent supporting information has been provided to demonstrate that the operation of the use would not result in unacceptable levels of noise and disturbance arising from staffing arrangements, visitor activity, vehicle movements and the day-to-day operation of the development."
