Work to resurface a Lichfield junction is due to start in the coming weeks.
The improvements are planned for the island at the A461 Sainte Foy Avenue and A5127 Birmingham Road.
The work will take place from 8.30am and 6pm on February 18, continuing between 9.30am and 3.30pm over the following three days.
Staffordshire County Council said the work – costing around £75,000 – has been scheduled during the school half-term break in a bid to minimise disruption.
Cllr Helen Fisher, Cabinet support member for highways and transport, said: “We are committed to keeping the county’s main routes in good order and I’m sure the investment will be welcome news by people who use the road and roundabout.
“Our highways teams will be doing their upmost to make sure the work is done as efficiently as possible and to minimise disruption to motorists which is why we are doing the work during the school holiday.
“I would like to thank people in advance for their co-operation and patience while the work is being carried out.”
