School minibuses to travel for free on the M6 Toll road

A number of school minibuses in Lichfield and Burntwood are set to be allowed to travel for free on the M6 Toll road.

Operators Midland Expressway Limited have given 21 schools free electronic tags to allow their vehicles to travel without paying.

Among the schools to benefit from the gesture is Friary School.

Tom Fanning, chief executive of Midland Expressway Limited said: “Our business is located within the county and we wish to play our part in nurturing and creating opportunity for our young people to develop their talents.”
