People who share a landmark date are being invited to join a special service in Lichfield to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire Sir James Hawley and the chairman of Staffordshire County Council Frank Lewis MBE are jointly hosting the service of thanksgiving at Lichfield Cathedral on February 19, 2012.

A spokesperson said: “We are looking for 60 people in Staffordshire who were born on February 6, 1952, to invite them to join the service.”

The event forms part of the celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of the accession of Her Majesty the Queen.

It is by invitation only and as places are limited those interested in attending are asked to reply in writing enclosing a copy of their birth certificate to the Civic Office, Staffordshire County Council, Tipping Street, ST16 2DH.

The deadline for replies is December 9 with numbered invitations and further information being sent out to the successful applicants in January.
