Secondary school place applications open for Lichfield and Burntwood parents

Published:

Parents in Lichfield and Burntwood can now apply for 2014 secondary school places for their children.

Families are being urged to pick their three preferred schools when making their application.

Last year, 96 per cent of parents received their first choice school across Staffordshire.

The deadline for applications this time around is October 31.

County Councillor Ben Adams said: “Obviously parents want the very best for their children, so we try to accommodate their wishes as far as is practicable.

“We understand that the admissions process can be quite daunting for a lot of parents, so we do as much as we can to make the process as easy as possible. It is, however, important for parents to remember that if they live in Staffordshire they will need to apply for their chosen secondary school through Staffordshire county Council, even if it’s outside of the county.”
