A FOOTBALL coach who dribbled a ball between Morocco and the Midlands has been nominated for a Pride of Britain award.

James Lewis raised £74,000 for St Giles Hospice by completing the feat.

He will now be one of four West Midlands finalists hoping to secure a place in the national finals.

He said:

"I’d like to say thank you to absolutely everyone who nominated me over the summer when I was out on the road as this wouldn wouldn’t have been possible if not for that support."

A film about James' fundraising achievements will be aired on ITV Central this week before the regional winner is announced on Friday (11th September) to go forward to the Pride of Britain ceremony in London.
