Summer school returns to help people improve their English

A new English language class is starting in Lichfield.

Last year’s summer school saw students improving their skills by taking part in a range of activities focused on the cultural side of the city.

Participants took a guided tour of the Cathedral and Garrick Theatre, as well as visiting the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum and exploring the Civil War history of the city.

A spokesperson said: “This was so popular that we have decided to offer this again this year.

“Students from a wide range of countries have the opportunity to improve their English Language skills by taking part in projects and activities of historical and cultural interest

“All activities include conversation and project work with other members of the group.

“Students come from around the world including Thai Buddhist monks from the Kings Bromley Temple.”
