The manager of a Lichfield shop is celebrating after winning a brand new sports car.
Laura King, 24, scooped the prize after being named top store manager by employer Phones 4u.
She also won £2,000 of holiday vouchers after impressing her bosses with her sales skills, product knowledge and customer service abilities.
“I’m so pleased to have won this award,” said Laura, who began working for the Lichfield store in 2011. “I did not expect this.
“I didn’t know I’d won. Crazily, my car insurance is due for renewal next week – so this is an unbelievable surprise!”
Phones 4u’s chief operating officer Nick Fisher surprised Laura with the keys to her smart new wheels.
“Laura joined us at Phones 4u in February 2011 as a sales consultant in the Lichfield store,” he said. “It was soon clear that she was not only a consistent strong performer, but that she demonstrated great attitudes and behaviours.
“She has taken the store from strength to strength and built a team to be proud of that put their customers’ needs first.”
