Work to restore the Lichfield Canal will be up for discussion at an event in Lichfield.
Peter Buck, Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust’s engineering director, will be at Speakers’ Corner at 11am on June 17.
His talk, a 21st Century Vision of Lichfiel Canal for the Community, will build on a presentation he gave last year to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of canal network pioneer James Brindley.
A spokesperson said: “This year’s talk will touch on restoration progress, achievements to date, community involvement and the challenges ahead, and will pay tribute to the many organisations, local companies and the trust’s hard-working volunteers who are making the vision possible.”
