Volunteers urged to help community group improve water flow through brook in Lichfield

Volunteers are being urged to help work to clean up part of Trunkfield Brook in Lichfield.

Members of the Leomansley Area Residents Association will be joined by a team from South Staffs Water to help improve water flow along the channel as it passes through Darwin Park.

The clean up takes place at 9.30am tomorrow (31st October).

A spokesperson said: “This work will involve clearing debris from the water and surrounding areas, and trimming back small overhanging tree branches.

“Every effort has been made to ensure that the ecology in the immediate area will not be affected by these works, and our teams will be under instructions to cease any activities should they have any concers on the day.
