Passengers are being warned that normal train services to and from Lichfield may not be restored in time for tomorrow’s rush hour.
Storm Doris has forced services to and from Lichfield City station and Lichfield Trent Valley on the Cross City Line to be cancelled for the night, while West Coast Main Line services are also affected.
Fallen trees and downed overhead lines have caused many of the problems – and train operator London Midland has warned the issues may not be resolved in time for the morning rush hour.

Meanwhile, the company has confirmed that it is extending its social media service for the evening in order to help passengers find out which services are still operating when.
