PASSENGERS are being warned of disruption to trains services during two days of strike action this week.
West Midlands Railway says a “very limited service” will run on Friday (22nd May) and Saturday due to the industrial action by TSSA union members.
Routes including the Cross City Line connecting Lichfield and Birmingham is set to be impacted by the strikes.
As well as a reduced timetable, there will be no trains running after 7pm on the first day of the walkout and no services until 7am the following day.
Ian McConnell, managing director of West Midlands Railway, said:
“We encourage TSSA to continue talks with us to reach a resolution to this dispute.
“This strike action will cause disruption to our customers with a significantly reduced timetable in operation on both dates.
“We are doing all we can to minimise the impact as far as possible and apologise to customers for the inconvenience. However, where services are running, we advise customers to only travel if necessary and to allow more time for their journey.”
Some minor disruption to services is expected on the morning of Sunday 24 May due to displacement of trains.
