THE weather has forced the cancellation of a play event in Burntwood.
The Play in the Parks session had been due to take place at Burntwood Leisure Centre today (4th August).
But a spokesperson for Burntwood Town Council confirmed it had been cancelled due to safety fears.
“As the field is very open, the winds have picked up to a point where we do not feel it would be safe to put up gazebos and the inflatable.
“Sorry for any disappointment caused, but we hope to see everyone on Wednesday at St Anne’s Church.”
