A LOCAL garden is throwing open its gates to support a local organisation.
Located at the Crossroads on Huddlesford Lane in Whittington, it features an acre and a half of wildlife-friendly perennial meadows, a pond, orchard and a small copse of horse chestnut and pine trees.
The event, which takes place from 11am to 5pm on 20th June, is in aid of Whittington and Fisherwick Environment Group.
A spokesperson said:
"The meadow, orchard, pond and copse are complemented by a traditional flower garden with roses and flower borders.
"The entrance to the house and garden is on Huddlesford Lane. Parking should be possible on Back Lane or Chapel Lane just a few yards away, but visitors are encouraged to come on foot, bike or public transport wherever possible.
"While wheelchair users are welcome please note that the paths are rather uneven and access to some areas may be difficult."
