Work begins on diseased trees in Burntwood

Work is set to take place in Burntwood to remove diseased trees.

Burntwood Town Council has commissioned work on three trees at the Coulter Lane Burial Ground and one tree at  Burntwood Cemetery.

Following liaison with the Lichfield District Council’s Arboricultural Officer and an independent Arboricultural consultant, two diseased Horse Chestnuts will be felled and one Horse Chestnut will have a branch reduced at the Coulter Lane Burial Ground.

One Sycamore located within Burntwood Cemetery will also be felled.

The works is being carried out by Lichfield District Council’s Operational Services team.
