A LOCAL choir has handed over a cheque to a local charity after hosting a workshop for beginners.
Lichfield Gospel Choir's event earlier this year helped to raise funds for St Giles Hospice.
Gerbo Huisman, chair of Lichfield Gospel Choir, said:
"I am proud that we have chosen to support our local hospice with a donation from the proceeds of our concert.
"As a choir, we believe that music has the power to bring people together, create moments of joy and comfort, and make a positive difference to our members and our community.
"St Giles Hospice provides such important care and support to patients and their families, and knowing that the money raised through our singing can help support their wonderful work makes our concert even more meaningful to us.
"It is a real honour for the choir to play a small part in supporting such a valued and important local service."
Lichfield Live has been keeping local communities informed for almost two decades – but as a Community Interest Company we can only continue reporting with your support.
