A LOCAL volunteer has been honoured for her work to support grassroots football.
Jane Dyson, who is part of the Chasetown youth setup, has received the Bobby Moore Award.
The accolade forms part of the annual England Football Grassroots Awards and recognises exceptional individuals and organisations who embody the very best of grassroots sport.
Jane was recognised for her commitment to youth football and her voluntary work supporting young players, families and coaches.
The club said Jane’s work had made a “lasting impact” on the lives of young people.
Steve Jones, chairman of Chasetown, said:
“Jane’s dedication to our club, our youth setup and every child who plays for Chasetown is simply incredible.
“The time, energy, and care she gives voluntarily never go unnoticed.
“She represents everything that is good about grassroots football – and we are immensely proud to see her recognised with such a prestigious award.”
