Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver was killed in a two-car crash in Burntwood.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver was killed in a two-car crash in Burntwood.

The incident involving a black Volkswagen Polo and a grey Volkswagen Golf happened on Miners Way at 3.15pm yesterday (17th May).

The driver of the golf, a local man in his thirties, died at the scene.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: 

“Formal identification will take place in due course and specialist officers are supporting his family at this time.

“The driver and a passenger from the other car were taken to hospital for further treatment.”

The road was closed for four hours while investigation work took place. 

Witnesses who may have seen the vehicles before the crash or anyone with relevant dashcam footage is asked to call 101 or email ciu@staffordshire.police.uk, quoting incident number 516 of 17th May.
