Hundreds of free tickets to a special event at the National Memorial Arboretum are being offered to Armed Forces families.

Illuminated Arboretum will open on 12th December and feature a trail of installations leading to the Armed Forces Memorial where beams of light will rise to form a beacon in the night sky.

Service families are being invited to enter a draw for 750 tickets to a special preview event on 11th December.

Sarah Oakden, head of marketing at the National Memorial Arboretum, said: “This exclusive preview evening allows us to thank Armed Forces families for their continued dedication as they explore this moving and emotive tribute to service.

“Illuminated Arboretum is a stunning and awe-inspiring immersive experience that allows visitors to interact with our memorials and the Arboretum’s woodland landscape in new and unique ways.

“Thousands of tickets have already been sold for this illuminating and inspirational experience.”

Illuminated Arboretum will be open to the public from 12th to 21st December. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 01283 245 100.
