A Burntwood councillor is stepping down to concentrate on her new role with Staffordshire County Council.
Cllr Natasha Pullen won the Lichfield City North seat from Labour’s Caroline Wood by almost 500 votes last week.
But she has now decided to stand down from her role on Burntwood Town Council where she represented the Conservatives in the Boney Hay and Central ward.
She told LichfieldLive stepping down had not been an easy step to take.
“Having been elected to Staffordshire County Council with a decisive majority, I have had to make the difficult decision to step down from Burntwood Town Council in order to concentrate more fully on my family and council commitments,” she said.
If no by-election is called, the seat will be co-opted – a move which is happening in the Chasetown ward following the resignation of Labour’s Keith Willis-Croft.
