A LOCAL organisation has hosted its latest session for carers.
Grace Cares' Care Club welcomed Tracy Broadley-Jackson from Speakmore to discuss her work in the NHS and the independent sector to support people with neurological conditions.
Representatives from Lichfield Film Club also spoke about their upcoming screenings focused on supporting those caring for others.
Tracy said:
"It was a pleasure to meet the wonderful volunteers and attendees at the recent Grace Cares meeting.
"I shared some information about communication difficulties in dementia and suggested some strategies and approaches to help reduce their impact.
"It was lovely to see people asking questions and sharing their own tips, so we all learnt together."
A spokesperson for Grace Cares added:
"We gather feedback after every Care Club session – and it's clear how much value carers get from having a space like this to come together.
"We'll be looking to increase how regularly we run these sessions moving forward."
The next session of Care Club will be online at 2.30pm on 25th August. It will focus on brain health and dementia prevention.
