Charities have been boosted after money raised by the former Mayor and Sheriff of Lichfield during their year in office.
Cllr Janice Greaves and Cllr Andy Smith raised more than £10,000 which was distributed between Guide Dogs and the Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes.
The money was raised through events including a skittles night, masquerade ball and fashion show.
In a statement, they said: “We would like to offer our sincere thanks to all the local businesses, groups and individuals who supported the fundraising activities and for their wonderful generosity towards two very worthy causes.”
