A FUNDRAISING football match is being held in Chasetown.
Two teams will battle it out for the Matthew Bainbridge Memorial Cup at The Scholars Ground tomorrow (31st December).
A spokesperson said:
“We will come together as a club and community to remember Matthew, who left us far too soon.
“This year has been especially tough for many of us and serves as an important reminder of how vital it is to look out for one another.
“We want to encourage everyone to come along – players, supporters, friends and family – and show that we are a community that cares.
“It’s important that we show all our men that they are supported, that they have connections here at our club and beyond, and that asking for help is never a sign of weakness.”
People can also donate to support the fundraising game online. The fixture will kick-off at 11.30am.
