A Conservative councillor on Lichfield City Council has resigned.

Mike Thompson’s seat on the Stowe ward could now be subject to a by-election.
However, if less than ten voters call for another election, the vacancy could be filled by co-option instead.

Mr Thompson’s resignation follows that of Burntwood Town Council’s Labour representative for the Chasetown ward, Keith Willis-croft who stepped down last month.
