A new cafe bar is set to open in Lichfield.
Loungers Ltd has applied for permission to install new signage on the site of the former Co-operative and Britannia Building Society on Market Street.
The company describes itself as a network of “informal, neighbourhood food-led cafe/bars”.
It was founded in 2002 and currently has more than 50 locations across the country.
In a statement supporting its planning application, the company said: “The revitalisation of an existing building within a prominent location will contribute positively both economically and socially to the immediate area and the city more generally.
“The proposed use of the building, being opened to the public both during the day and at evenings as a family-friendly, food-led operation, provides a true public benefit.”
