The Whittington-based charity was presented with a cheque for £430 from members of the Ashmole of Lichfield Lodge 8405.

The money was raised at a Ladies Festival fundraiser in November.

Clive Anderson-Lewis, the group’s worshipful master for 2016, said: “It is a delight to help this wonderful charity – so much of the good work they do goes unspoken.

“Having lost a family member to cancer I can only emphasise the care, support, professionalism and comfort they provide not only patients, but family members too in their darkest hours.

“The Ladies Festival was an opportunity to thank the ladies in our life for their support, while not only having a great evening, but also combining that with fundraising for worthy causes.”
