A community fundraising event is returning to Lichfield.
Curborough Community Centre will host the Lichfield Soup tomorrow (June 30) from 11.30am.
The last micro-funding event saw £75 raised for local scouts towards their international jamboree fundraising efforts.
Organiser Steve Lightfoot said he expected more good causes to attend and pitch for an instant cash grant.
“The idea is very simple and open to everyone,” he said. “People pay £5, and in return they’ll get a bowl of soup and a chance to listen to around three local good causes tell us about their work in our community.
“There is then a vote, and the winning good cause takes the pot to spend on furthering their work.
“Everyone is invited, no need to book, and if you want any more information, either come along or call me on 07590 607914.”
