Burntwood RUFC 3rds were involved in a game of fluctuating fortunes away to Handsworth 2nds where they eventually they had to share the Merit Table points after a 29-29 draw.
They led 7-0, went 24-17 down, got back to 24 all and then needed a try to equalise after the hosts had taken the lead again.
Rob England turned in a man of the match performance to lead the way with three tries. Paul Lee and Simon Barker also crossed the whitewash and skipper Mark Bourne kicked two conversions.
It was a fair result overall. Besides England, Mark Thomas and Pete Reynolds were prominent for Burntwood.
