A LICHFIELD charity is urging people to donate unwanted Christmas gifts to help fund pioneering treatment for patients.
The Stan Bowley Trust is aiming to fund groundbreaking CyberKnife therapy for those with cancer at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
To help raise funds, the charity is hoping unwanted presents can be handed over for use as raffle, tombola or auction prizes throughout the year.
Rona Johnson, from The Stan Bowley Trust, said:
“To support our efforts to arm the hospital with this revolutionary technology we will be collecting all unwanted Christmas gifts for prizes at fundraising events in 2025.
“Your donations will directly contribute to funding vital research and clinical trials that help save lives.
“As a volunteer-run charity, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue our important work. So, if you have any gifts that you no longer need or would like to repurpose for a good cause, we would love to receive them.
“Your support could make all the difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Together, we can make a real difference in the fight against cancer.”
