EX Cathedra’s Christmas Music by Candlelight concert certainly got you in the festive spirit.

The evening began with voices ringing out from the front and rear of the cathedral, before the choir introduced themselves by passing through either side of the nave holding candles.

With the cathedral’s stunning architecture illuminated, the audience was treated to an evening of serene Christmas music, including traditional festive carols such as Away In A Manger and Silent Night.

Midway through the evening, a monologue, presented as a story, followed an inquisitive young boy asking his teacher questions about Christ’s birth, which provided an engaging break in proceedings.

Overall, this was a wonderful Christmas concert, which was elevated by the candlelight, showcasing the remarkable beauty at this historic venue’s heart.
