A LICHFIELD police officer has completed the Three Peaks Challenge in memory of her daughter.
Sergeant Emma Hill was joined by a team of friends and family as the group took on the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – in 24 hours.
The challenge has raised more than £10,000 for the Magic of Milly charity she founded following the death of her daughter just before her second birthday in 2015 as a result of post-operative complications relating to her rare congenital condition.
A spokesperson for the group said:
"The Magic of Milly has absolutely smashed it.
"The Three Peaks Challenge completed – thank you to everyone for their support."
The money raised from the team's efforts will go towards the charity's support of Birmingham Children's Hospital, where Milly was cared for.
