LICHFIELD will complete their pre-season preparations this weekend with two games planned for the squad of players.
In the previous three outings, the whole line-up has been given game time against Thornbury, Derby and Sutton Coldfield.
But now the coaches are aiming to identify the better prepared players for the start of the league season on 26th September.
The 1sts will now host a Hinckley XV at Cooke Fields tomorrow (19th September), while the 2nds travel to Manor Park (Nuneaton). Both fixtures start at 3pm.
To date, their match fitness has been crucial and they will hope their momentum is continued at both venues.
The women's squad gained some valuable playing time last weekend – and head coach Tim Westwood is attempting to find some opposition in advance of their opening league games in a week's time.
The Colts also have one last friendly at home to Old Halesonians on Sunday at 2pm.
In the morning, the boys under 15 and under 13 teams have home games, as do the girls under 16s at 2pm.
The club's junior sides will also be able to start their competitive games the following weekend.
